Stones End Day Centre supports older living in Southwark age 65 + to remain active and connected to their community.We also provide our members with daily freshly cooked hot meals to help maintain their nutritional health and friendly staff/volunteers to help our members engage in activities safely.
Getting Referred
Clients can access the Centre via the following routes: 1. Personal Budget assessment through Southwark Adult Social Care. Most of our members are assessed by Southwark Social Services older adults with care and support needs that would be met by attending our Centre, with referrals made into our service. Self – funding. Some of our clients pay for their own attendance at the Centre In addition to the attendance costs, clients will have to pay lunch costs which are currently £6.50 per day. Our Day Centre is open Mondays to Fridays from 9:30am – 3:00pm (office opening hours 8:30am – 5:00pm) We welcome visits from potential members, family members and professionals’ agencies. Stones End Day Centre delivers a day care service for older people living in Southwark. We support older people living with dementia and those who are prone to loneliness due to social isolation. We provide door to door transportation, daily hot cooked meals as well as offering a wide range of fun therapeutic activities designed to improve mental dexterity, physical strength and balance We create opportunities to learn new skills, make new friends and maintain nutritional health with culturally sensitive, freshly cooked meals.
