Positive Ageing at Blackfriars matches trained volunteers with local older people who are unable to go out by themselves and who are at very high risk of loneliness. Befrienders visit weekly for company and conversation, telephone befriending for clients on the waiting list for visits and during Covid-19 restrictions, Our Aim is to reduce isolation and increase independence and involvement in the community.

Everyone aged 60+ call 0207 928 9521 (Available in area: SE1, Chaucer and Cathedral wards and border areas but please contact to check parts of SE17).
