Through the HACT Fuel Fund, the Age Friendly Social Housing Programme can now offer energy debt write-off payments to residents in Southwark who are 50 and over. Through the scheme, HACT can make payments directly to tenants’ energy providers to pay off debts over £300. There is no maximum amount of debt HACT can pay off and HACT would like to have the funds spent by the end of September 2023. Funding will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Tenants are eligible for support, regardless of whether they have had support from previous HACT fuel support schemes.
